Day 01 By KB : DEL/KTM – PBH. AM arrival at Paro. Afternoon, visit Paro Dzong and free time visit various handicrafts shops in Paro town. Alt. 2,200 m.

Day 02 Paro full day AM visit Drugyal Dzong (ruined fortress), followed by visit to Kyichu temple, Paro Rimpung Dzong, and Dungtse temple. PM take a short hike to Dzongdrakha monastery.

Day 03 Paro/Taktshang - Thimphu AM hike to Taktshang monastery till the view point. PM drive to Thimphu. Distance = 60 km/ 2hrs drive. Alt. 2300m.

Day 04 Thimphu full day AM visit National Memorial Chorten, Changangkha temple, National Library and School for Traditional Arts and Crafts. PM visit Post Office, Textile Museum and handicrafts shops. After 5:00 visit Tashichhodzong.

Day 05 Thimphu – Punakha / Wangdue AM drive to Dochula Pass decorated by 109 stupas. Spectacular views of Himalayas if weather is clear. Descend to Punakha. PM visit Punakha Dzong and also short hike up to Khamsum Yuele Namgyal Chorten. Distance = 70 kms. Alt. 1350m

Day 06 Wangdue – Trongsa - Jakar AM drive to Chendebji Chorten and then to Trongsa. PM visit Trongsa Dzong. Thereafter, drive to Jakar. Distance = 198 kms/ 8-9 hrs. Alt. 2600m.

Day 07 Jakar full day AM visit some of the most holy site of Bhutan including : Jambey, Kurjey, Padmasambhava and Tamshing temples. PM visit Jakar dzong.

Day 08 Jakar - Mongar AM drive to Ura valley and then across Thrumsingla Pass (3900 meters) to Mongar. En route one can see several waterfalls, thick forests, wild life and many species of birds especially the “Great Hornbills”. Distance = 210 kms. Alt. 1600 meters.

Day 09 Mongar Festival - Trashigang: AM witness various masked dances are performed by monks as well as lay people. PM drive to Trashigang. 110 kms. Alt. 1100 meters.

Day 10 Trashigang Festival : AM drive toTrashigang dzong and attend the dances. PM continue with the festival.

Day 11 Trashigang – Radi valley. AM drive to Radi valley and visit Ranjung Nyimapa monastery. One can also trek to Tsangkhar village to see women weaving textiles at home and in make shift huts in the field.

Day 12 Trashigang – Samdrupjonkhar AM drive to Kanglung where Bhutan’s only University is located, then to Khaling village and visit a centre for dying and weaving of Bhutanese textiles. Picnic lunch will be served at Womrong next to the beautiful temple. PM drive to Samdrupjonkhar and along this stretch of road, one can see several species of birds, including more than one species of Hornbills, white monkeys and other wild life. Distance = 187 kms/ 8-9 hrs. Alt. 350 meters.

Day 13 Samdrupjonkhar – Gauhati (Take over by Indian Agent) AM group handover to Indian counterpart for onward journey to Gauhati Airport for departure to Delhi by Jet Airways / Indian Airlines OR continue tour of KAZIRANGA WILD LIFE SANCTUARY.

Please note :- Exit from Samdrupjonkhar to Assam is still closed to tourism. However, we can approach higher authorities to consider as a special case and obtain a special permit. Therefore, to operate this tour we require minimum 11 pax participating.
