This trek follows the same last few days trail as in Snowman Trek in opposite direction, starting at Dur village in Bumthang. This trek is known for its many hot springs.

Itinerary at a glance :-

Day 01 Delhi/Bangkok - Paro. Drive to Thimphu

Day 02 Thimphu - Thimphu. Visits in and around Thimphu

Day 03 Thimphu - Trongsa via Gantey Gomba. (220kms/8-9 hrs). Alt. 2200m.

Day 04 Trongsa - Jakar (68kms/2.5 hrs.) AM visit Trongsa dzong and the watch tower. PM to Jakar. Alt. 2650m.

Day 05 Jakar - Jakar. Visits in and around Jakar.

Day 06 Jakar - Gorsum/Lungsum (23 kms/9 hrs.). Trek all way uphill to Gorsum, descend and cross the river and climb to Lungsum. Alt. 3100m.

Day 07 Lungsum - Tshochenchen (22 kms/9 hrs.). Gradual climb crossing the river several times and enter the wide valley of Tshochenchen, above the tree line. Alt. 3800m

Day 08 Tshochenchen - Dur Tshachu (18kms/7-8 hrs). It is a wonderful day trek, past many yak-herders camp, lakes and flowers including Blue Poppy in the months of June/July. You may even see the Himalayan bear, musk deer and herds of blue sheep. Alt. 3600m.

Day 09 Dur Tsachu - Halt. Relax in one of the several hot springs.

Day 10 Dur Tsachu - Tshochenchen. Return via the same route to Tshochenchen.

Day 11 Tshochenchen - Gorsum/Jakar. All way down to Dur village and drive to Jakar.

Day 12 Jakar -Wangduephordang (200kms/8-9 hrs). Drive to Trongsa and then to Wangduephordang

Day 13 Wangduephordang -Punakha/ Paro (150kms6-7 hrs). AM visit Wangdue dzong, then, drive to Punakha and hike to Khamsum Yuele Namgyal Chorten, return and visit Punakha Dzong. Thereafter, drive to Paro. Alt. 2200m.

Day 14 Paro - Paro. Visits in and around Paro including hike to Taktshang Tiger’s nest monastery.

Day 15 Paro - Delhi/Bangkok Exit.
